Four-day Ruhr area tour for 10 persons in 2011 The group arrived Thursday evening. After check-in at the hotel, they had dinner in a typical Ruhr area restaurant. The program on Friday started with a visit of the coking plant Prosper in Bottrop. Afterwards the journey continued to Gelsenkirchen where the group had lunch in the “Nordsternpark”. In the afternoon they visited the coal mine Zollverein. After a break at the hotel the group went by tramway to the restaurant Casino Zollverein for dinner. Saturday morning the group experienced a guided tour through the gasometer in Oberhausen. Saturday’s highlight was to watch a bundesliga game at the arena “Auf Schalke” in Gelsenkirchen. The day finished up with dinner in a restaurant in Essen-Rüttenscheid.
